My Bio
Marina Ware is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary with the State of California Professional Fiduciaries Bureau. Since 2017, Ms. Ware began accepting fiduciary appointments as a fiduciary apprentice, and she feels very blessed to now own her practice.
The Contra Costa and Alameda County probate judges and their judicial clerks know Marina by her first name as they are familiar with her unparalleled work product and commitment to her court cases. She has a proven track record with the California courts and her probate cases almost always get approved by the judges without a hitch. Attorneys often consult with Marina for advice on their estate matters.
Marina Ware is a lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. She grew up in the small community town of Oakley and attended public schools in Brentwood, Oakley and Antioch. Marina is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California, where she received an American Bar Association Approved Paralegal Certificate and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance.
Her legal career began working as a Paralegal Intern in the Office of General Counsel of Bank of America. Marina eventually left the bank and moved on to broaden her legal experience, holding positions at a number of Bay Area law firms which included work as a Senior Corporate Paralegal at the prestigious San Francisco law firm, Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe. She loved the intellectually rewarding work of working with a brilliant team of lawyers on multimillion dollar mergers and acquisition cases. The long commute and work hours proved to be a challenge for her role as a mother to two very young children. Five years later, Marina would transition to an in-house Corporate Paralegal position with the financial institution, Providian Financial Corporation. At Providian, she was responsible for public company stock reporting and securities compliance for the executive stock option compensation program. Her final paralegal step would be managing a probate and trust administration practice for a well-established probate and estate planning attorney. The probate and estate training that she received would help her transition herself to the role of professional fiduciary.
Her over 30 years of legal and financial experience in a multitude of areas which have included corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities, litigation, bankruptcy, probate and trust law instilled the foundation for her career as Licensed Professional Fiduciary.
Marina is the current President of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California, East Bay Chapter and holds active memberships with the Contra Costa County Bar Association, Diablo Valley and Tri Valley Estate Planning Councils and East Bay Trust and Estate Lawyers
The things she loves best about being a fiduciary is meeting new people, challenging herself intellectually and solving problems.
In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking, concerts, traveling, seeing the latest movies and spending time with her family and cats.
